AVoIP, or Audiovisual Over Internet Protocol, is a program for transmitting video audio on a high frequency over the Internet. The protocol is used for data transmission via IP address, allowing the reception of high-quality data.
The protocol works for intelligent televisions, for the transmission of videos and audios in 4K at high rates.
An Alliance Between Two Giants.
Two big names in the industry come together for a colossal creation. Philips teamed up with Creston Corporation to develop its version of the AVoIP system. The system is available for Philips devices with large size and screen resolution.
In the joint work of both companies, the first step of the alliance was to improve the protocol used by Philips. Both took the Philips PDS Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) port and developed it. The resulting new contract, certified by Creston solutions, enables the reception of 4K audiovisual material over networks.
In the production process, Creston took the Philips protocol using Inter technology. Creston used the internetwork encoder DM-NVX-D80IoAV, which made the current contract.
The protocol has excellent advantages and enhancements for high resolution and size devices. The first and foremost advantage is the transmission of audio and video in 4K through networks, including the Internet. The second advantage is the communication with devices without the need for so many cables or electronic devices.
The saving in cables makes it easier and cheaper to install and use the system. Users do not require technical knowledge or tools from third parties for installation. This not only saves money on buying the tools, but they’ll also save on hiring an expert.
Another part of the agreement with Creston is the incorporation of various Creston Plugs and systems into Philips devices. The platform allows integrating this information into the Creston cloud: the XiO Cloud. It is a platform for developing systems without having programming skills.
The system allows to monitor, manage, control and develop functions within the new platform. Doing so allows users to manage the tasks through a user-friendly user interface. You may even set up all features using the monitor or the TV itself. In some cases, it has a touch screen, where you can operate it with a simple method.
The interface allows you to manage the data connections with the available networks. It includes a Wifi system that supports a high flow of data per connection and allows you to choose the network of your choice. You have the option to choose between internet networks or local connections for data transmission.
The platform was tested in schools, especially in virtual classrooms and distance conferences. The connections showed a substantial improvement in both the quality of data transmission and the accessibility of the device.
The technology continues to evolve based on the agreement of both parties; Creston continues to implement new programs on the platform. New and high-resolution screen devices have better features and updates every day. Updates are done through the Creston cloud directly.
The union of these two technological giants caused a fascinating product. Philips flat panel displays are becoming more and more demanded and used both in homes and businesses. They are one step away from leaving behind their most important competitors, such as Samsung and LG.
What Does This Mean For The World?
The technology created by the combination of both companies will have a significant impact on society. In today's age, we are using cumbersome cables and various devices to do a certain task. Now we have a tool that incorporates all those elements in one place and saves us time, money and space.
The first improvement for companies is communication in different branches in different locations. Video conferences are more comfortable not to require large devices such as switches, routers, servers. The financial rewards are high, besides it does not require significant technical knowledge for its use.
When it comes to education, it will revolutionize the teaching system, and classes can even be taken from home. You can connect or create a network from the cloud and make virtual classrooms for each class or subject. Teachers can leave audiovisual material on the net and students can download it.
Exams can be uploaded to the cloud, allowing students to access and complete them. You can upload support material such as books, audiobooks, tutorials and other educational content. This technology itself will revolutionize the area of education.
For home users, the system will provide greater comfort and well-being. The devices will allow them to access different sites to watch current movies. An example of Netflix, you can view your videos in 4K from the comfort of your home. Cinema will be a thing of the past; the house will be your cinema.
You can connect various devices wirelessly, for example, your PC or the TV by Bluetooth. Another option is to configure a connection to the telephone, and then the same image will show display on your phone’s screen. Standard PCs, flat-screen televisions, laptop cinemas, everything will be obsolete thanks to this technology.
Companies will have to adapt to attract the public. If its implementation is successful, it would set a standard for future display media. Other companies would need to adapt to public preference. The cinemas can be either the most disadvantaged or benefited depending on whether they can take advantage of this technology. As they say, either you ride the wave of change, or you let it hit you and knock you down.
This technology will put all the tools and content at your disposal from your home. You will have access to a large number of tools that will enhance all your daily activities.
