Brightlink’s HDMI Switches allow you to take many HDMI sources such as Blu Ray, DVD, Apple TV, Xbox, PC, and route them through the switch into your HDTV display via one single HDMI cable.
Essentially an HDMI Switch is an HDMI Splitter in reverse. An HDMI Switch solves the problem of having too few HDMI inputs on your HDTV display and too many HDMI sources.
Typical HDMI Switches are 2x1, 3x1, 4x1, and 5x1. The first number being the amount of inputs or sources you can connect to the switch and then the second number stands for the one output to your HDTV display. If you see a number like 4x2, 4x4, or 8x8 this means that you are view a HDMI Matrix and not a standard HDMI Switch.
HDMI Switches are easy to operate and typically have front panel buttons and a remote control for switching between your source. So you simply connect all your devices to your HDMI Switch, power them all on and then make your selection of which source you want to view on your HDTV display.
